Trump and all the GOP enablers own this one.
Locally: Governor Phil Scott sent a letter to Trump expressing support for the Paris accords. And yet as candidate Scott was kind of slow to “evolve” on the climate issue. And his choice as PSB chair seems to have passed Scott’s anti-wind power litmus test -and is less than enthusiastic about wind power.
You are equating Trump with our new Governor, Phil Scott. You say that “locally” Scott wrote…Phil Scott has had nothing to do with Donald Trump, yet your negative opinion of him is consuming you and it shows with each one of your columns. He is Governor for two years, hopefully for many more. Please don;t be so negative about him, he is a good person. Sanders, the tax and spend senator, that has done nothing for Vermonters for years, is your favorite politician. Did you write about his canceling the commencement speech at St. Johnsbury Academy, but had time to speak in person at a commencement in Brooklyn, New York? That one would generate a large crowd – he probably had them sign in so that he can beg them for more money for another house. It certainly will not be given to the needy in Vermont.
The nations of our Planet should impose trade embargoes products of the United States in retaliation for Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Global Warming Accords.
Agree!
Of course, the trade impacts will be felt when China begins to further dominate the world marketplace thanks to its leadership on climate, and we are left in the coal dust.
