That's the name of the game, folks.
Polls close in about an hour. I hope you've already voted, but if not you still have time.
We're open for local election updates or observations as you have them. Feel free to post comments, and I'll periodically bump this thread to keep it on top.
Monitor the votes as reported and recorded at the Secretary of State's website HERE. The SoS site not only records the votes, but will show you a map of where the ballots have been counted.

Sorrell 644
Donovan 516
I was pretty surprised. Sorrell’s campaign has been nearly invisible here, although there are plenty of people who work in the AG’s office living here.
Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if Montpelier is a bellwether for this race.
In Montpelier we also had an unusual number of write-ins, with one or two organized write-in campaigns for High Bailiff.
In the HOTLY contested race in Lemington, (that’s an Essex/Caledonia/Orleans precinct for those of you who have not visited recently) the results are in. ALL OF THEM
Two (2) people voted in the Democratic primary.
Of those two (2) votes, BOTH have been counted. The demographic breakdown is hazy at this point, but, with 100% tallied, the results are
Donnovan 2 (100%)
Sorrell 0 (0%)
We are still awaiting the demographic breakdown of the voters, the effects of both candidates massive GOTV effort in Lemington and in-depth interviews with those on the streets of Lemington who have first-hand knowledge of what weighed the heaviest on the Lemington Voters.
Also, GMD has analyzed reports of the fire that burned the town clerk’s office to the ground, the looting the ensued and the subsequent gun battles in the streets. However, it does not appear that this affected the vote in any material fashion.
News from our Southern Vermont correspondent:
Tristian Toleno is the “unofficial” Democratic Party nominee for Windham 2-3. He beat Kate O’Connor, a long-time aide to Gov. Howard Dean. Toleno was the owner/chef of the Riverside Cafe in Brattleboro. There are still hundreds of absentee ballots to count, but an interesting win for Toleno nevertheless.
Toleno: 352
O’ Connor: 323
If you look at the results posted thus far, it’s 50-50 across the state (Sorell up 9200-8600 as of the time of this comment).

Watch the Burlington results.
The Secretary of State has the margin at Donovan up by 43 votes with 61% reporting.
Donovan needed to win Burlington.
And he did.
But is it enough?
Don’t know about you folks, but on the Popcorn Scale of Election nights, this is a genuine 10-bagger!
unofficial BURLINGTON results:
Donovan — 2407
Sorrell — 1937
If anyone out there would be kind enough to check my math, it will be greatly appreciated.
Longtime incumbent Senator Mark MacDonald is up almost 3-1 over Tig Tillilnghast.
Nonetheless, it’s looking like Sorrell in a squeaker. And I believe the anti-Sorrell forces left some ammo on the shelf.
Also, looks like the Annette Smith trial balloon has deflated. (I Tweeted that line earlier tonight, so if anyone steals it, you know it came from me.) Abbott’s got a solid lead against “Write-In” for the Prog nomination.
Donovan: 600
Sorrell: 400
