… what happens to these people when they’re proved wrong after having their heels dug in so deep, they can’t see over the top of the hole they’ve dug.
I mean, what went through Ayn Rand’s mind when she took medicare and social security, after spending her entire adult life trying to eliminate them? Did she have some sort of grudging epiphany? Or was it more like the evangelical Christians who have abortions one week, and are out trying to block others’ access to the same clinic a week later – the ones who claim their own was “necessary,” but everyone else’s is for “convenience”?
