  1. The imbalance in wealth shown in the chart flows somewhat logically to this situation.

    Just 1,082 donors-a group small enough to fit inside a single high school gymnasium-accounted for 94 percent of all individual donations to super-PACs from January 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012. Those 1,082 donors amount to just 0.00035 percent of the US population.

  2. This is the kind of information we need to spread around. It’s simple, graphic, and it tells a story without preaching.

    There are lots of graphs like this – public perception vs. public desire vs. actuality. There’s another that deals with where federal dollars go, and one about how much non-military foreign aid we give. If I remember correctly, most people think we give about 15% of the federal budget, think we should give 5%, and the actual number is less than 1%.
