Well ,well Lt.Governor Phil Scott’s webpage sure has more Democrats on it than one might expect from one of the few Vermont GOP rising stars. On the issues section Scott is pictured with Senate President Pro Tempore John Campbell and Congressman Peter Welch. A nice quote from Senator Campbell is even displayed.
Maybe Lt. Gov. Scott is trying to make up for his crack last October made when observing the hurricane Irene clean-up
“As I crisscrossed the state and witnessed recovery efforts, and saw the truck drivers, the equipment operators, the law enforcement personnel, the National Guard members, the municipal leaders … and it may have been my imagination, but I do believe most of them who were doing the work were Republicans.”
Republican Scott’s opponent, Democratic candidate for Lt.Governor Cassandra Gekas can be found here on Facebook. If they haven’t already done so Senate Pro Tempore Campbell or even Congressman Welch might take a look.
Must be that working-class edge he so carefully cultivates. A little artful misspelling, and you’re a man of the people.
As for the gist of the comment… It would be instructive to know when John Campbell said that, and when and where (and by whom) the picture was taken. Peter Welch may not have approved the use of his image, and such approval may not be required. As for Campbell’s statement, that’s another kettle of fish. If he said it recently, he’s crossed his own party. If he said it a while ago, it’s more excusable, but he still should have known better.
Of course, if I recall, Governor Shumlin has also said some nice things about Phil Scott. Don’t know if Phil will dare to use any of those.
…reveals no source for the Campbell quote. Whether you spell “fulfilled” correctly or not. I tried to search for various parts of the quote, but found no matches. I wonder where it came from. I sure hope Campbell didn’t provide it directly to Scott. That’d be bad.

Of course, this is all on Phil Scott’s official State of Vermont webpage, but still, that’s an awful lot of Democrats. (There’s also a nice quote from Dick Mazza elsewhere on Phil’s site, but then I’d expect that from Mazza.)
