On January 25, a coalition of groups and individuals calling itself “Vermonters for Quality Mental Health” held a press conference at the State House to voice their concern about the Shumlin Administration’s plan to replace the acute mental health beds at the antiquated Vermont State Hospital with only a 16-bed facility in central Vermont and some additional acute beds in private hospitals in Brattleboro and Rutland.
