  1. Yeah, JUSTICE First!  A vet will know how to stop the Wars–you’ve got to stop the Wall St. bastards who start them.  Anti-War Vigilers could help out here too.  Silence and Candles are getting old.

  2. all those cops look like they are 17 and have no idea what to do….   “should we tazer him”   …….   telling them this is no way to act brave is hitting below the belt….    give this guy another medal…  for public safety and service.

  3. I am never surprised but am always disappointed by those who routinely use the slogan “Support the Troops” as a mantra to justify unjust wars and adventurism but who quickly shove the troops into the background when they return home and question the elite orthodoxy that dominates our political and financial cabals.

The USA has a (Sarcasm Alert) “proud” tradition of punishing veterans who step over the line between what the elite will tolerate and what they will not.  Take a look at this brief summation of the Bonus Army march in 1932: http://www.eyewitnesstohistory

In 1932, as the Great Depression closed in on them, many WW I vets marched on Washington, D.C., to petition their government to accelerate the payment of the bonuses that were promised them.  And, what did their government do? Led by such “heroes” as Douglas MacArthur and George Patten, U.S. troops with fixed bayonets charged the vets, hurled tear gas and burned their encampment.

As Shamar Thomas proclaimed on the streets of New York, “There is no honor in this!”  But then again, the 1% who dominate our system are unconcerned with honor:  They mostly care about money, power and control.  ‘Twas true in 1932 and remains true in 2011.

  4. You notice how those cops backed off and were not so hasty about wading in.  That guy was ready to do them great bodily harm.  And he could do it too.  I remember the Vietnam Vets taking on the cops during the 60’s.  I hope more vets, even those who are cops, start marching with the occupiers.  Like when the vets turned against the Nam war, these vets will really add some weight.
