Signs of a Salmon run

Coming soon: Tom Salmon fun-run?

For any Vermonter looking for early spring signs of a Salmon run this may make a splash. It appears Tom Salmon is game for a run against Senator Bernie Sanders next year. An internet search of owned domain names shows that one   Salmon, Thomas of Railroad St. Saint Johnsbury Vermont is currently the proud registered owner of salmonforussenate.com

Salmonforusenate.com was registered January 19th 2011 and lasts until January 2013. The 19th of  last month must have been a busy day for our man Salmon as the Burlington Free Press also reported he would announce his final decision on this year’s ‘birthday’ of the US Navy See bees, March 5th.

No turning back? With date set and his domain name tucked under his arm he has set himself floating down the path to become the authentic self-utilizing power along the lines of excellence of his dreams.

note: Salmonforuspresident.com is still available for now

  1. He’s turned over a large chunk of his Facebook page to attacks on Bernie Sanders and pleas from his adoring fans begging him to run.

We can’t have Sarah Palin here in Vermont, but all of us here at GMD are pulling for a run by young Tom.

  2. …that our intrepid Auditor General apparently isn’t all that interested in the job we just re-elected him to.

But I know, in my (cold fishy little) heart of hearts that Our Man Salmon will continue to devote his full attention to the crucial post we have entrusted to him.

Yes, I know it’s SOP for a politician to seek higher office. But even by politician’s standards, this is pretty damn shameless.

(And pretty damn clueless, need I mention, to think that he has a snowball’s chance of beating Bernie.)

  3. anything to avoid applying himself to the drudgery of actually doing the job he was elected to do.  It’s difficult to say what his greatest weakness is.  Is it his inability (or unwillingness) to self-edit or his persistent lack of focus?

  4. by any stretch, but a mere politician. Palin a complete & utter fool. He, like Palin is concerned only w/the trappings of the office & the illusion of power. It is not about those the people but all about aspirations for power & higher office.

Nothing wrong with aspiring to higher office, really but when each position is used as only as a bid for another office, the goal is sheer. When motivated entirely by selfinterest it then bcomes a charade of parasytical existance off of those they pretend to serve.

Disingenuous is stunning which is why I hope he does run as it will be into a trap door in the floor that he will disappear, hopefully never to return to office.

After all, he has stated that he doesn’t need any of it, displaying his pure folly once again.

  5. Tom has over 3000 Facebook friends, and I found an invitation yesterday to join the ranks.  He is trolling for friends.

    Can’t do it fish man.
