The teachers of the ANESU, Bristol, Monkton, New Haven, Starksboro and Lincoln voted tonight not to strike. The teachers have apparently accepted the last offer from the ANESU Boards (see previous post).

Addison Northeast teachers actually accepted the contract which had been imposed on them on January 5th by the School Boards. For the 187 teachers in the school District, Major points call for:
1. Average 2.5 percent salary increase for step movement,
25 teachers get no raise.
2. 15 percent contribution to Health Insurance.
3. One extra hour of work after school for meetings.
The teacher’s Association and Boards will commence negotiations shortly for the 2011/2012 school year.
