On the Air (with a Plan)

(Promoted, as per site policy on serious statewide candidate diaries. – promoted by GMD)

Today is an important day for our campaign for governor. Because of the generosity of nearly 2,000 Vermonters it is possible for me to speak directly to the entire state about my jobs creation plan–JumpstartVT–and why I am the leader who will keep Vermont the best place to live, work and raise a family.

  1. …or did you not really say anything? Seriously, watch your own ad, you don’t say one single thing of substance. It’s ridiculous. If you’ve got ideas, lets hear them. If you don’t, and all you’ve got are soundbites, then get out of the way for someone with something to say.

  2. I’ll listen slower, and you look up the word ‘substance,’ then get back to me. Making general comments about what needs to be supported by never saying how, lacks substance. Check it out, almost every candidate does the same exact thing. It’s like Shumlin and his white board arrows. No substance.

  3. Jump start?  That’s what I had to do with my old car every winter while working for one of these “small” businesses for 8.50 an hour.  But I did have one boss who owned a very nice truck who came looking for me “roadside” on one day when I was late because of a “failure to jump start”.

I’d rather be the one who owned the business that the one who takes one of the new jumpstart jobs…. Sounds like a glorified loan program to me; but then, I don’t know.  I didn’t hear the details.

ooooooooooooo – it makes me shiver just to hear the words “jump start”.

  4. Reminds me of Madge. Is Deb holding a glass dish with green Palmolive liquid  in it below the camera shot?
